IPL Auction 2025 Rules

IPL 2025 Mega Auction: Venue
According to reports, the venue for the 2025 IPL Mega Auction is expected to be in the Middle East, potentially in Dubai. As of now, there is no official information regarding the venue for the 18th season of IPL 2025. Other possible locations for the Mega Auction could include Abu Dhabi, Doha, or another Gulf city in Saudi Arabia. Similar to IPL 2024, IPL 2025 will follow a home-and-away format.
IPL 2025 Retention Slabs
The retention slabs for the capped players is as follows:
- Player 1: Rs 18 Crores
- Player 2: Rs 14 Crores
- Player 3: Rs 11 Crores
- Player 4: Rs 9 Crores
- Player 5: Rs 7 Crores
IPL 2025 Rules
- The strategic timeout is 2.25 minutes for each of the teams.
- If the bowling is not within the time limit, the teams have to place only 4 fielders outside of the field.
- The substitute can be used by the teams before the innings start
- The names of the 11 players have to be mentioned before or after the toss.
IPL 2025 Retention Rules
- The teams can only retain 6 players.
- The franchise can retain at least 5 capped players
- The uncapped players shall not have played the International Cricket
